Why it is in the collection
Constancy is a form of rigour that almost never gets rewarded. Publishing one lesson a day, in order, across the whole span of the Workbook produces no viral videos and no memorable moments: it produces students who finish what they began. That is the main reason Ana Hernández belongs in the collection.
Her pedagogical clarity matters to us as well. The vocabulary of A Course in Miracles is a genuine barrier — familiar words carrying unfamiliar meanings — and much of her work consists in dismantling that misunderstanding before moving on. It is humble, artisanal labour, and its effect is felt above all in the reader who, thanks to it, does not give up at chapter three.
The teaching is confessional and makes no attempt to disguise the fact. We include it for its honesty of purpose: it sells no outcomes, promises no swift transformations, and speaks ill of no other path. It simply stays there, day after day, beside a difficult text.
